So our earlier error (see prior posts) with our pause menu has been partially resolved (thanks to the help of a classmate). We are able to pause with the escape button but if we pause with a button it doesn't work. This is confusing because inside the events (we have one event for left clicking the pause button and one for pressing the escape key) we have the exact same code. Since our coding knowledge and the amount of time is both limited, we decided to compromise and not have a pause button and just have the escape key to pause. And I know this sounds like quitting, but we put a lot of time into trying to trouble shoot. At this point we need to prioritize things that impact our game play. Besides, I am proud that we were able to get some sort of pause situation, even if it's not perfect.
